Going Dutch - Yes or No

Going Dutch at a business lunch is normal. But what about going Dutch at a date? Oops, this suggestion can make women fury. The thing is that all the discussions about equality and feminism seem forgotten when paying for a dinner at a romantic encounter. Maybe in the Netherlands it’s quite traditional to offer your date to go halves on a bill, but American women won’t like the idea.
So what’s wrong? Should men foot bills on their own or should they try to share a dinner cost? Due to the recent stats they’D BETTER not to mention going Dutch to someone they want to see again. And women in their turn, shouldn’t make a scene - when men want to pay for a dinner, a trip, entertainment on their own. If they do, it’s like a signal for males - this gal isn’t interested in me. Dating experts recommend women to make a suggestion of splitting the bill on the third date, if men agree, of course. (more…)
